December 21, 2007, Newsletter Issue #94: The Drum Positioner's Job

Tip of the Week

BeaconTechnology.com Tip: Don't even try to move that 30-gallon drum by yourself, or with help from someone else.

If you often have drums on site, be sure to have drum positioners nearby. This is an essential tool to have on hand because it moves a job along efficiently and without injuring anyone.

Drum positioners work by moving a drum to the horizontal position with a fork truck. Look for drum positioners that have a latching system, which will make for safe handling on the job.

And drum positioners don't just move a drum horizontally. You can also use the tool to put a drum in an upright position.
