September 21, 2007, Newsletter Issue #81: Lift and Tilt Tables Help The Job Go Smoother

Tip of the Week

BeaconTechnology.com Tip: Most adults have bad backs – it’s one of the most common problems doctors treat – and that includes your crew. Lift and tilt tables are incredibly valuable in keeping materials and work spaces at ergonomically beneficial levels, speeding up the work process and decreasing on-the-job injury rates by reducing the need to stoop – or, worse, stoop and lift.

Adjustable work tables have foot pumps that power a hydraulic post, and can support materials of up to 4,000 pounds, or hand-cranked mechanical post lift tables that support less weight, but can lift to twice their standing height and sometimes include tiers. Other options include tilting work tables, for examining plans and specifications on-site or making adjustments to drafts and sketches, and lifting work table platforms to keep materials at the ready. In addition, these platforms are wheeled, making them both portable and useful for transporting materials, and even people, with maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
